Two positions available, one for the Atlantic City Campus and one for the Mays Landing Campus. Positions are part-time and due to expire on or before June 30, 2019. Serves as an academic advisor and assist students eligible for the Community College Opportunity Grant program with student planning and registration.

Duties:
  • Serve as the lead advisor for students eligible for the Community College Opportunity Grant.
  •  Provides academic advisement and registration assistance to new and returning students.
  •  Provides assistance with career and transfer planning individually and in group settings.
  •  Prepares statistical reports tracking student academic progress.
  •  Monitors mid-term progress of Community College Opportunity Grant students.
  •  Process Early Alert and Academic Probation referrals.
  • Facilities workshops on generic topics to enhance student success, including career workshops.
  • Performs clerical duties such as data entry, filing, answering phones, provides customer service.
  • Provides support for Student Affairs sponsored events.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma. Associate’s preferred.
  • Experience in Higher Education setting preferred.
  • Academic Advising experience preferred.   
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague management information system preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication and writing skills
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Ability to multi-task.

These positions are located in the Mays Landing and the Atlantic City campus but requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
